For those of you who didn't get their newsletter yet, this is just a reminder that this Saturday April 13th, HARF will have their yearly ******** of Officers. In years past we have always tried to do our EofO along with a shop tour and this year we are proud to announce that we will be the guests of RW Motorsports of Brownsburg. I think RW Motorsports needs no introduction to Indiana race fans, they have been winning championships for years now and helping drivers build their reputations by putting them in top notch equipment. RW & Bryan Clauson won last years USAC Sprint car & USAC National Championships (honored on this years Driver of the Year decal) & with Kevin Thomas Jr. in the sprint car this year, has already visited Victory Lane. Please join us this Saturday at RW Motorsports, 451 Southpoint Circle, Suite 200, Brownsburg (go on racers row, down to John Force racing & turn there, watch for our signs). The meeting will be at 11 am (lasting about an hour total) with our quick meeting then the shop tour. Bring the kids and let them see a midget, sprint, or silver crown car up close. As usual we will have alot of giveaways, last year everyone got a prize, and we might have some surprises again this year. Kokomo has already sent us 2 free passes for that nights USAC/Poweri midget Grand Prix to be given away, with plenty of time to still get to Kokomo for the night full of racing. Also, just added is a 1/18th scale Dave Darland #2B RWB sprint car, possibly autographed, if i can find DD at Kokomo on Friday night. There were only "300" of these die casts made and we have 1 to give away on Saturday. Hope to see you there, bob.
So i guess no autograph from DD on Friday night, so it will be up to the winner of the Dave Darland die cast to get it autographed. But i do have an additional bonus for those who join us, the first 30 "families" will receive a gift bag with a great prize inside (valued close to $40.). What i mean by "family is...if 2 guys carpool out to our meeting, both will receive a bag, if a family of 4 show up, they will receive "a" bag, not 4 bags. The last word on our ******** of Officers. Good news is I can still use my nickname on here, Thanks to everyone for coming out to RW Motorsports and having the faith in me to remain President of our great club. We had a good crowd of about 30+, and everyone got a door prize along with our "special" gift of the 2 books that Bill Simpson has written about his Indy experiences and safety. I want to Thank Bill Simpson & Gearheads for their donations. The 2 biggest Thank You's go out to the RW Motorsorts family for inviting us out for their great shop tour, and to our members and friends for attending, we hope you all had a fun time.
Once again, my sincere Thanks to all you HARF members for having faith in me to run our great club another year. I'll try to do everything I can to advance the Hoosier Auto Racing Fans club and to get all of our members every money saving deal we can. bob
