On what date did Gambler cease operation as a builder of sprint cars?

If no one on the board knows you could give Floyd Bailey a call at Bailey Chassis. He was the shop manager for Gambler. (615)822-7041

My father and Grandfather ran the Gambler Competition store/shop on gasoline alley. I grew up in that shop and Dicks Speed Shop on 16th st. before that as the two were one in the same with different locations and Gambler exclusive stuff in the new shop once we moved. Our shop closed by order of the home office in 1988/1989. Gambler continued to build cars for a few years after that but not many, 4 to 5 years maybe but could be less. Floyd would be the guy to ask but I don't think even he stuck around until the very end. Do you have a car your trying to track down info on? Myself or my dad would be willing to help with any info if we can, just let me know.

Yes he was. He's missed every day. You knew him?

It took him a long time to get that down. Once he did though he was really good at it. I watched him crash quite a few also. Did you ever get a chance to see his RC skydivers?
