I just spoke to Greg Shobe, owner of Waynesfield Motor Sports Park and they ARE planning on racing tonight. They are there working on the track now.
The storm that hit Gas City last night was headed for the Wapakoneta and Waynesfield, OH area but when the storm got to the state line it broke up and Waynesfield got only a few sprinkles, not even enough to cover the cement Greg just told me and said it looks pretty good there now. What will be coming through he hopes will stay south of the track.
The MMSA 1000cc "Winged Warrior Tour" will engage the Waynesfield 600cc mini sprints in a "Midwest Shootout" tonight at the Waynesfield Motorsports Park. There will also be 360 wing sprints, modifieds and the Tuff Trucks.
The MMSA is delighted to announce that "Sprint Car & Midget" magazine reporter,Bill Holder and photographer Phil Kunz plan to be in attendance to cover this event for publication.
