There's a Powri race scheduled for October 6th too.. That will definitely hurt the car counts. Why can't midget groups work together?

Not as much as you think, I think there were 8-10 Powri regulars that ran last year. There will still be plenty of midgets Saturday night. I just wished they had decided to run the rained out USAC sprint show makeup with the midgets on Friday or Saturday night

For anybody who has in money left in their racing budgets, the Gold Crown is a must see.

Agreed. We're going back for our 3rd time. Wide, fast race track. Saw more slide jobs during the feature last year than we had seen all summer! Glad they kept non-wing sprints as the support class.

I agree,made the trip from California last year,will be there this year.

I know of 5 ARDC teams that are making the trip [maybe as many as 8] can't wait for my #2 gold crown!

For me it always means that racing season is at it's end. Wow, what a way to cap it off, though. It is some of the best racing all year. Really looking forward to it.
