Good question. What happened to this year, didn't someone post on here asking for input and that sponsorship had been secured?

Is there anything scheduled for this year? The one race was certainly a success and warranted more races this year.

I'm not privy to all of the information at Danville, but cut them a little slack for not having a second show this season. Although this might not be the entire reason, typically a track cannot just buy one or two nights of insurance. You have a minimum total premium threshold you must meet which works out somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-6 shows if memory is correct. The insurance for the MOWA show was transferred through an arrangement with another track. My guess is that the options following that show was to run 5-6 more nights, or to not run at all.
With what appears to be a number of shows in the works for 2013, that shouldn't be an issue going forward. I don't mean to meddle in VCS business, but don't give the track a black eye over this one because to a large extent I don't think there was really an option to race just one or two more nights without bringing another track on board. I could be totally wrong.
