Looks like the old godfrey 67 speedway in illinois

That is the old Lawrenceburg Speedway for sure. It is taken in turn one. Look at the old concrete grandstands on the right and the food stand on the left. Plus I can see my dad standing in the background up against the fence!

While I would have to dig up the original slide to determine the year, I definiltly know that I shot it going in to turn 1 there at the Burg. May have been Sprint Week in 99 or 2000. Watched him hit this hole for 4 straight laps and then on the fifth lap he gave me this one. Sometimes ya get lucky.

I haven't been to the Burg since 2008 so I am not sure what it looks like anymore, but back in the days of this photo they would have to cowboy up by the time the featch rolled off.

Gas City tomorrow night and some rain in the forecast. Wouldn't be USAC at Gas CIty without a chance of rain.
