While we can't work a nice cushion or keep it from going dry-slick, I have worked hard to get Toledo Speedway in tip top shape for the Midget/Silver Crown doubleheader this Friday. Come check out our new lights and our new grandstands fresh from Michigan International Speedway. Who is going to head to Ohio this Friday and join us at one of our biggest shows of the season? Would love to have a great showing of Indiana Open Wheelers this Friday!!!!
Will be there pulling for Tyler 21. One of the last great pavement tracks to see usac on. I will support the pavement shows with usac and hope next year brings better things. I love the dirt but hate to see usac toss away pavement completly

Race Director - Toledo Speedway
Jason,
We were there for the AVSS/MSA show a couple of weeks ago. Great enchancements to the facility with the new Musco lights and the new grandstands. We sat at the top of the grandstands and the view is remarkable. Keep up the good work. Just a question for you. What is the plan for the now vacant area in turn one?
Mike
Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
I agree that Toledo Speedway is a very good track to showcase open wheel machines. However, The car count has been dropping each year. I do not believe that USAC has had more than 20 Silver Crown cars at any pavement race this year. The price for this show is $25.00, the same as last year. BUT the race distance has been reduced by 1/3, from 150 laps to 100 laps.
There may be better options for your entertainment dollar.
National Midget series will be there as well. Both USAC pavement divisions in one night. 30 lap feature for the midgets. The USAC double header at IRP on July 26th is $35.00
We still have more grandstands available to put more in - and after the "World's Fastest Half Mile Show" we were getting close to capacity, but we are also going to try and put some back in out of turn four behind the bar and grill. Next up after this weekend will be the removal of the old concrete jersey barriers in turn 3 and 4, and continued landscaping of the areas around the grandstands.
HOT HOT HOT today (record set in fact), but a bit cooler temps on tap for tomorrow. Hope to see you all at the track!
Jason

Oh, and not to step on any toes....but our lighting system is from Qualite, a local company out of Hillsdale, MI. The mini-superspeedway setup that they had at Toledo was a test run and they wanted to go back to the traditional pole setup.
Question: Will I be expected to help you repair infield portajohns again this year? If so, maybe a complimentary trip to the concession stand? What 'dya say?
Porta-Johns are all cleaned (this morning) and ready for your arrival - doors working perfectly. Wanted to get a screen door installed in one for you, but didn't have the time.
I still will get you a buck fifty hot dog (we used to be home of the dollar dog, but you know about the economy...)
I wish I could have gone. I was at the Toledo race last year, and I thought the track was pretty nice then. Good luck to everything you do, and thanks for supporting open-wheel racing.
