Thought IOW might enjoy these images from the 1973 Williams Grove Speedway's National Open 150, (yes 150 laps not 40 or 50 with a fuel stop). Anyway Kenny Weld got the victory that year, thats Bob Weikert in the cowboy hat in victory lane, and the guy with microphone is promoter Jack Gunn. Enjoy the cars, band, and the crowd from back in 1973.

Priceless shots of some of the first home made wings. I even ran across a book of photos at an auction and some of the wings were plywood, look how far they have come. bob

Friend of mine noticed a guy in the third pic down, has some "heat" on his hip!
