As someone who's wife is just coming out of a battle with stage 3 breast cancer, this now hits me very hard. Tell your friend to circle January 2013 on their calendar. My wife was diagnosed last February, and almost a year later, after 2 of 3 scheduled surgeries, an aggresive chemo and radiation treatment, her hair is 75% back and life is starting to get back to "normal". Also don't be afraid to represent the pink ribbon to raise awareness. I wore my bright pink Peter Murphy sprint car "racing to raise awareness" shirt most of last year at our quarter midget races. Prayers to your friends.....and a positive attitude is the first step on kicking cancers butt!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with Anita.
TQ97 glad to hear your wife is well on the road to beating her battle with cancer. Hope Anita will be in that same spot a year from now.

My mom is a stage 3 survivor. Its been 6 years since she was diagnosed and she hasnt missed only 3 races since. once my mom got her clean bill of health we changed the colors of the car to yellow/blue with pink lettering. Mike and Anitta are good people and great friends! I wish them well.

Thanks for the update and please keep them coming as you receive them! Mike and Anita were our pit neighbors at Waynesfield for the first few races last year. They took pity on us poor open trailer racers and gave us a place to sit out of the rain and fed us any time it was too wet to make it to the concession stand. Anita took my wife under her wing from day 1 any time they were there and made her transition to "open wheel wife" a lot easier. She is a terrific woman and we are both eager for any updates on the road to the FULL RECOVERY we are sure she will make!
