Tonight was to be HARF (Hoosier Auto Racing Fans) discounted nights at both Terre Haute and Bloomington (with the THAT date now moved to Sunday afternoon). Hopefully we will still be able to enjoy beautiful Bloomington tonight & if you show a current HARF membership card you will get in for 1/2 price. HARF, with the great co-operation of so many of our local track owners, have made arrangements to offer our members over 30 nights of discounted racing this year, and with all the added expenses we deal with these days, a discount here and there is a bonus. So please take a moment to thank our "race track families" for their generosity when you visit on HARF nights. To see all of our discounted nights this year or to download an application to join, go to www.harfonline.org. Also for those who are worrying, the Spring newsletter with our Driver of the Year decal & Indy 500 qualification pass is being mailed on monday, May 5th, so you should all have it in time for 1st day quals at the Speedway (or any of the other 3 days you wish to use it). See you at the races, bob.:checkered:

Bob,

Is Terre Haute half price or $3.00 off? I thought the discount only applied to reserved seats at THAT and it is $3.00.
Glad you are mailing the passes out early. I often don't get them until right at the last minute and I have a friend in Cisne, IL who leaves home on Thursday for the track and he never gets his in time to use them.
Thanks for all your hard work on behalf of our sport.

Ron,
With Bloomington cancelling, will you reschedule the discount night later this summer? If so when?

Keith,

I don't have any connection with HARF other than being a member. I imagine Chuck Welsh and Mike Miles will reschedule a later date. There is a second HARF/DARF night scheduled at Bloomington for June 27 according to their newsletter. It seems like discount nights have often been rained out in the past, and I do recall they scheduled a makeup, but that doesn't mean they will now.

We will be in contact with our pals at Bloomington to try and reschedule our discount night. Our arrangement right now with THAT is that we receive a $3 discount on reserved seats or general admission, just not infield deals. THAT is giving us the discount for all their events this year, with the possibility of a 2 for 1 later on in the schedule, if that happens we will post it here and on our web site. Thanks for the interest and for being members, tell your racin' buddies HARF is still the best deal in town at only $15. bob.:checkered:
