Some day I hope to retire from my calling as "MUFF DOCTOR" and by a little dirt track to cultivate and take care of. When and if I do one of my first changes will be to have a high speed "DSL" line installed in the judges booth, then I would invite these people making the race up-date up into the A/C to do some much needed promo work for my track, here they would have the most accurate and timely info to send out to those of us who for some reason or the other could not make the show. Im sure this could and would make my fan's much more loyal to my track and when they could find time they would be there with cash to spend because nothing beats being there.

Some tracks already offer mobile updates.
Deer Creek Speedway in Minnesota.
Track website: http://deercreekspeedway.com/index.htm

Tracks Mobile Update page: http://www.speednetdirect.com/mobile...p.php?tid=6114

I believe it is available to every track that uses Speednet Direct.

These are links to Indiana tracks using speednetdirect but they don't use the mobile lineup and results system. I would imagine it's something more the tracks would have to pay for which is why they choose not to use it... but that's just a guess.

Lincoln Park Speedway

Bloomington Speedway

Lawrenceburg Speedway

Paragon Speedway

This could be very handy for competitors at the track. Imagine sitting in your pit and finding out where you start your heat race by looking it up on your mobile phone.

I checked out the mobile feature and it seems our local tracks are not taking advantage of this feature. It would be great for the fans also, because most of the time you cannot hear the line-ups because of inadequate speaker systems at some of these tracks. I know that Bloomington gives the line-up before the cars get on the track, but for new fans it would be better, because then you can associate the name of the driver and the car.
