wouldn't it be awesome if usac some how could do a double duty on july 3rd and run sprints with the silver crown!? like maybe run sprints in the afternoon then have maybe a hour or two then run the silver crown in the evening. just a thought wanted to see what everybody thought of this. the sprints would be from the rain out from a few weeks back

There was an article in the Terre Haute paper about LPS, but in a footnote, it said that is truly a possibility.

It sounds nice to say such a thing, but in reality there's no way the Action Track will hold up to two classes of USAC racing, under July heat and with Daylight Savings time. Not without a complete rework. And I'm talking about the type that you see at Haubstadt or Kokomo. And I really doubt that they have the resources or the will to undertake such a task. Not to mention how much more surface area there is on THAT, as opposed to those other places, even if they did.

With it being the fourth of July weekend and with the fourth falling on a Monday would be nice to run the make-up sprint race on friday night and run the silver crowns on sunday during the day and on down south 41 for a make-up for this past sunday's mscs rainout at haubstadt.
