I agree goggles, piss poor pr from usac. Twitter updates lag if they do them, and the web page gets updated a week after the show. Usac is a great product with very poor marketing

They're doing just fine. American racing's not a product, it's a lifestyle

Disclaimer: This is my second post on this forum but I've been reading it for quite a while. I hope to be a bit more active.

Now, as far as these complaints about USAC's use of Twitter etc, I think they are using it very well. USAC's goal is to put on a great show and get people in the stands. What incentive do people have to come to the races when they can stay at home and get all of the information from USAC's Twitter feed?

It's better practice to tell the fans at home what is happening without giving them every detail about what is happening. That way, they have reason to get out to the track and make it worth USAC's while.

There is no need to tweet every detail of the race. They are doing just fine with Twitter.

Remember what happened to National Speed Sport News ? (Failure to keep up with the competition)

If a modern PR tool is available virtually for free, you'd be a fool not to use it.

Is it USAC's job to sell publications? Nope! In addition, USAC has NO competition. There shall only be one United States Auto Club. The United States of USAC (not affiliated with USAC) needs no business marketing lecture
