The WolfPack had a Great opening weekend, 1st with our First ever double header with USAC at Gas City and then on a Super Fast Track at Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell!..... All told, nearly a Hundred Modifieds competed in our season openers, at Gas City, the Pack had 44 cars in the pits, along side 47 of the Worlds Best Sprint Cars and Drivers. Congrats to Shane Cottle on the USAC Win!.... Some of you may not know that Shane has competed with the WolfPack in the past in a Modified and is always a Threat on Dirt in any Class of Cars!.... In the WolfPack, Scott Orr looked to repeat his 2007 Win at Gas City and looked to have one of the fastest cars on hand. He won his heat and the draw for the pole, but got in a spin on the opening lap coming out of turn 4. He would recover and be scored as high as 7th before falling back by race end... Last years WolfPack Champion, Craig Conyer would take the Wild Ride on his opening lap of the heat and have to work his way from the very back of B-2 to make the feature. He would make his way to the top 5 for most of the race before being involved in a late race spin. He would finish his night out of the top 10... It was perhaps fitting, that the Best matched cars in the heats, the 21A of Nick Allen and the 21X of Brad Barrow, these two ran door to door for the opening laps of there heat and finished it with Allen winning and Barrow on his rear quarter. When it was all said and done in the feature, Barrow would work his way to 2nd, Allen to the Point and they crossed the Checkerd Flag with Barrow on Allens door for another Great WolfPack race at Gas City I-69 Speedway! Thanks to Jiggs and the Gang and especially to all the Fans. Especially those who stayed with the threat of rain and watched us compete!!!!!
The Threat of Rain would loom large on Saturday and true to there word, Bob and Gayle Kamp made there decission to race by 1.00.... Good or Bad, we were going racing.... At Kamp the Pits were Full!!!! Before we were done, 54 Modifieds would take the green for quallifying, there were even some that arrived after that for nearly 60 all in all..... Kamp is always Fast it only got Faster has the night went on... Josh Ferguson, Ryan Thomas and Spatola won 3 of the 6! Heats and looked to be the cars to beat all night. In the Feature, Ryan Thomas would hold the early lead and Ferquson would jump outside. It would take that outside line a few laps to clean off and Ferquson fell back to 5th. Kent Robinson would make his way inside and out and finally take over the point from Thomas. He would hold off Spatola and then Kevin Hastings to take the Win!!!! All in all it was a Great night at Kamp and a Great Weekend of Racing to open the season for the WolfPack!!!!! Thanks again to Jiggs and the gang at Gas City and to Bob and Gayle Kamp for making us feel welcome and giving us a Chance to again prove that the WolfPack is some of the Very Best Modified Racing in the Nation,,,,,,,,period!!!!!!!! A Very Special Thanks to the Fans for coming out. Congrats to Nick Allen and Kent Robinson on there Wins and Thanks to the Fans and Racers everywhere who........wanna race.....Wolfe-e

In reviewing my points I found that it was not Kevin Hastings but Jason Lakey who finished 2nd at Kamp Motor Speedway... The top 5 were, Kent Robinson, Jason Lakey, Mike Spatola, Ryan Thomas and Josh Ferguson. Heat winners were Robinson, Lakey, AJ Dixon, Spatola, Thomas and Ferguson....B main winners were Matt Huddelson and Rob Fuqua..... Nick Allen takes the early lead in points over Brad Barrow and Kevin McCarty. With Brad Heady and Kent Robinson rounding out the top 5.... More Later in the week along with how things are going at The Action Track..... .....Wolfe-e
