I was perusing Timmy Slideways and they mentioned a Winchester open wheel weekend that included the Must See series.I was curious if anyone had heard of any other series being included on this thing.Maybe an all gimped car weekend(because of the crutch on top)with supers??

Man , I remember THE GREAT OLD DAYS at Winchester. The Snowball/Sammy Sessions season ender. Run what you brung and hope you brung enough. Rear engines, supers, and sprinters all ran together. No crutches either. Best part of the deal was watching Vogler kicking supermod a$$ in the Miller plating car. Upright Trevis with a FORD, and a bolt on cage. God was that guy tough.

Ah, yes! I remember it well. Salem ran a similar program called the Frostbite 50. I remember being there on Nov. 11, 1973 when Ed Angle took out the lights and part of the wall in the first turn turning it into the Frostbite 26.

I really have no clue to what they will be running but an educated guess would be the USA modifieds. The have become a fixture at Winchester and I would presume that they would be included with the Must See Extreme Sprint Series.

I would love to see the Midwest Supermodified Series be included in this show. When I talked with the former promoter about the supers earlier they said that the drivers had some concerns with the speeds at Winchester. We can only hope that maybe they will be a part of this weekend.

Is there an actual date for this, or are we all just wishing it would happen ??
I also remember the Snoball races when the Oswego Supers would show up....Great stuff....Hope it happens again.

Must See has two events at Winchester this season. The first is May 15 and the second is Aug 21. Either one will be a good show.

Maybe this will be "old timers" weekend. Winchester also has a USAC sprint race on the USAC schedule listed as TBA...maybe it will happen this weekend.. We will just have to wait and see.
