Is Shelbyville still under construction? How about In 9, and 44, they still got detours? We're gonna try to make it early, for the Root Beer Floats, that's enough to get a lot of folks there. See ya all Sat, one way or another! Bob

Bob, I'm not sure of the construction. Maybe someone from the Shelbyville area can post an update.

Sandy, from what I can gather, Ind 9 is OK, they do have some construction, but it's South, and has a stop light, I'm still not sure about Ind 44 from I65 across, I think it may have a little detour on it, but it can be done. Sure looking forward to a nice cool RootBeer Float, and a tour of the Museum. Maybe all this talk about rain will wait til Sunday. Bob

[I]Hope there is a large crowd this weekend for the races. IF you are coming in from the west (65 to 44) change your plans !!!!! 44 is closed from Franklin to Shelbyville. If you take State road 9 in,you will be fine from north or south.[All of those that need to come from the west you can take 252 east to State road 9 north or go to Indy and take 465 to 74 east./I]

unless you are pulling a very large trailer, the detour is not bad at all. Anyone with a standered car trailer or smaller will have no problems going thru the detour. Its not a long screwed up one either!
