I'm here for MidgetWeek, but Andrew doesn't have a TV. I tried Kelly's Too this AM, but they don't open until 11:00.
Anyone know of a pub that's opening in the AM for the games?
Of course, it would be nice if I could find one in the general direction of that evening's race. :-)

I should have pointed out that I have completely failed to get decent streaming speed here. That's why I'm willing to go to a bar.
I'll bet there's someplace in Bloomington for tomorrow, since it's a college town.

Dick,
In Bloomington you might try Scotty's Brewhouse downtown. Great food and liquid refreshments with multiple screen TV's throughout the facility.

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante

I hope you got to watch last night's Switzerland-Spain game. I'm really not a big fan of outdoor soccer, but that game was awesome.

Anywhere they treat insomniacs. Soccer is so boring, it will put a meth addict to sleep.

Not that I'm going to change anyone's mind, but one of the reasons I like soccer is that, like sprint car racing, I don't dare take my eyes off it from beginning to end. If I do, I'll miss something important.
Now, if you're used to watching American soccer, you might not get it. American kids have been raised on "kick and chase". Very few of them learn any ball handling skills. And, if you watch it on TV, the directors don't include enough of the field. The European directors take a wider view, so you can see what the players off the ball are doing. That's very important, and it's very interesting. If all you do is watch the ball, you're like a race fan that only watches the front car. :-)
I hope no one complaining is a baseball fan. That's the worlds greatest spectator sport. It must be, because 15 of the 18 players are spectators most of the time. :-))
