I was there a couple of years ago when Berlin had the PRA there (Also known as Silver Crown cars back in the day when USAC had fallen and hit their head)
It was a great race. Ryan Newman was there that night and proved to all of us why he is where he is. He is a very smooth race car driver!
Anyway, Ron Gregory won that race. It was very cool to see those beautiful cars race on that slippery, very tough to get a hold of race track.
I cannot wait to see them there again! It will be a helluva show.
The Big cars put on a good show when they were at Berlin a few years back. Probably why Usac sheduled them this time. Open wheel cars can pass in all 4 corners at Berlin. can't say that about most pavement tracks...great place to watch them. 7/16 alomost a half. i can remember when this was one of the smallest tracks Usac would run on. now if Benard can get 3 or 4 mile dirt tracks back in the national points he might reach that said goal of more home grown talent at the speedway. i do agree we need more mile shows but some of these short tracks with the big cars are entertaining.
Well in my opion i don't think they belong at berlin! Is usac promoting this race? To me dirt tracks noting but 100 mile races on mile tracks invert the hole field with 2 abreast restarts lap cars to the rear! And pay passing bonus money! Pavement nothing less then 5/8 mile same program!
