I wonder if the Sprint Bandits will find another date for their TNT tour now?

2008 O'Reilly Sprint Bandits TNT Midwest Swing:

August 11 – Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, MO)
August 12 – I-80 Speedway @ Nebraska Raceway Park (Greenwood, NE)
August 13 – State Fair Speedway (Oklahoma City, OK)
August 14 – Creek County Speedway (Sapulpa, OK)
August 15 – Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, KS)
August 16 – Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, KS) - $10,000 to win

I really wish it was still under the ASCS banner

Adding the Terre Haute dates and now this. It's very encouraging to see an ambitious USAC. No status quo for these guys. IMO, we'll all benefit from this way of doing things.:applaud:

This seems good to me, but why would the promoters want to do this? As I understand it, they have packed the place without a sanction.

And, since I'm planning on being there, I hope they move the Kamp midget date. I'd like to make both.

Uh, two plus two, equals four...

What possible reason do you think that Terry McCarl was at the USAC banquet to get this deal done? Perhaps he's angling for the same thing you are?

Hmmm...

From the racers perspective, I hope that paying the USAC sanction fee does not preclude McTwo Promotions from continuing the gifts that have been given to race winners and hard luck/chargers. Free rearends, steering, hubs& spindles, tires and wheels, etc were a great perk for participating in this race.

I know that sounds selfish, but this stuff is expensive and getting it for putting on a good show has helped out quite a few guys in the past.

I am happy about the sanction as this will provide excellent insurance for those who participate.
