Clauson Named 2009 MidgetMadness.com “Top Gun of the Year”

Bryan Clauson has been named the 2009 MidgetMadness.com "Top Gun of the Year", presented by JE Pistons. Clauson, of Nobelsville, IN, finished the 2009 season with 11 feature wins including the prestigious Belleville Midget Nationals and the historic Turkey Night Grand Prix at Irwindale.


Clauson found victory lane in nearly one-third of the events he entered. What makes this even more impressive is that he spent his year focusing primarily on major midget events across the country, therefore competing against the best in the business almost every time he hit the track.


He was also crowned the 2009 Indiana Midget Week Champion which featured wins at Lawrenceburg and Kokomo. His amazing season also included wins at the King of the Hills event at Cowtown Speedway, the Hall of Fame Classic at Angell Park, the Tom Knowles Memorial at Spoon River Speedway and the O'Reilly Raceway Park USAC event on the weekend of the Brickyard. On dirt or pavement, you could usually find Clauson near the front vying for the win on any given night.


MidgetMadness.com salutes Bryan Clauson on his outstanding season and is proud to announce him as the 2009 MidgetMadness.com "Top Gun of the Year."

Clauson will be presented the Top Gun award during the 2010 Chili Bowl Midget Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma in January.


This is the third season for the popular midget award, previous "Top Gun" recipients include Jerry Coons Jr. (2007) and Brad Sweet (2008).

MidgetMadness.com will also honor all the "Top Guns" who won the 2009 championships in 14 National Midget groups. All the drivers will be featured on a limited-edition t-shirt and poster.
