International Motorsports Industry Show Reaches Full Capacity

All Booth Space Filled for Dec. 2-3 Motorsports Trade Show at Indiana Convention Center

INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 30, 2009) – Officials from the International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS) announced today that all 572 available booths will be used for the inaugural IMIS show Dec. 2-3 at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.

The two-day IMIS trade show offers individuals and companies from all facets of the racing business the chance to interact, share ideas and products, build relationships and attend seminars to improve motorsports business around the world, all while showcasing Indianapolis as the “Racing Capital of the World.”

“We’ll be operating at full capacity for our first show,” said Chris Paulsen, co-founder of IMIS. “It’s a great day for everyone involved in IMIS and for the City of Indianapolis and the State of Indiana. The hardcore racers throughout the world told us they wanted a show back in Indianapolis and, once we decided to go ahead and make it happen, the motorsports community responded in a huge way by purchasing all allotted space in the Convention Center.”

A total of 345 motorsports companies have reserved booths of all sizes for the first IMIS show.

“This is going to be an exciting week for hardcore racers around the world,” said Tom Weisenbach, co-founder of IMIS and executive director of the Indiana Motorsports Association. “Our sales staff did an outstanding job getting the word out about the show and made sure that motorsports companies knew this is a ‘must-attend’ show. We’ve got a great week lined up and some exciting announcements coming up throughout the next few days.”

The IMIS Safety Conference presented by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is set for Tuesday (Dec. 1) and will help kick off the inaugural IMIS show. The safety conference will feature a world-class panel of 17 racing safety experts presenting insight for those at the top levels of racing to the weekly, grassroots racer.

One part of the show that could be very educational to anyone is the INgear conference on Thursday. They have a pretty busy agenda for the day.
