I think it's worth mentioning that NASCAR does not actually operate NASCAR.com, it's Time Warner that does. They buy the internet rights from NASCAR just like the TV networks do. It's not a PR arm of the series like most sanctioning bodies would have.
Since the Chili Bowl PPV is being distributed by HBO, it's all part of the same corporate family.
I only say this because any of the criticism or praise that comes tonight shouldn't be directed at NASCAR, since they really have no involvement in this.

Do we have any idea what time the broadcast starts? One screen says 8:00 pm EST and the next one says 10:30 PM.
