Got into a discussion with an engine builder the other day about timing belts. What is everyone's opinion GEAR DRIVE OR BELT DRIVE? Pavement sprint/ silver crown engines specifically.

Belt drive....hands down.

In the enviorment we run in gear drive. With any oil blow by or leak up front the betl goes away fast. Drag car belt.
