It was Knoxville Raceway that pulled the plug on TV coverage for Sunday.

Iowa has a very high unemployment rate. I was somewhat shocked at the size of the crowd. This place was always capacity since I can remember. I find it hard to believe that Knoxville would pull the plug. Not calling anyone a liar. Nobody's going to show up and buy a ticket to watch two races at an hour and a half. That's the only reason I could see for not being live.

Speed did not cover the race in 2005 when Sat. night was rained out so no surprise here.

Could it be the cost of production a second night ? I would imagine that the time that was produced last night was paid for by the advertisement we all watched during the rain delay. Now to ad a complete show for a second night in a row, the $$ has to come from somewhere. Maybe dean could enlighten us on the costs and such ...

I think thats exactly it Tim. In 2005 Speed wanted to be reimbursed for its extra production costs in order to stay an extra day. Knoxville either didnt have or couldnt see the ROI for the extra cash.
