Racing Family needs our help!
Steven Godsey's wife Jeana had a kidney transplant when she was 19 and now is in need of another one. The Godsey family is in good spirits and with all the added medical and travel expenses, Brownstown Speedway is banding together with the racing community to help this family in their time of need. The track will be setting up donation canisters and having a helmet passing campaign to raise money for the family to help them during this time.
I spoke with Steven on the Phone this evening and him and Jeana remain very positive. The testing of donors has begun. Steven says the chances of getting a transplant sooner will come from a living donor. Steven and Jeana have a one year old son to take care of as well during the wait. Travel expenses and hotel costs along with medical co-pays add up very quickly. The sport of racing is a tight knit community and have always come together to help a fellow driver or family member during these difficult times. Steven was very grateful for the help we have offered, Please keep Steven, Jeana and the entire Godsey family in your prayers.
