I figured I would start a thread asking where there are good RC dirt tracks to race 1/10th scale or 1/18th scale sprint cars. I bought both sizes (Losi Slider and Losi Mini-Slider) in February. Both cars are a blast to race!

My question is.... where in Indiana can you race these things at? I only know of 3 locations where you can:

1. "The Track" in North Vernon.... at the location of the old Eder's Bowling Center
2. North Vernon Park off IN-7..... they have a dirt oval in the park to race on....
3. Mitchell, IN. P&T Hobbies or something like that.

Are there any facilities racing these cars? Carpet tracks would be ok too.... I just want to run the things! Links are appreciated!

Not to many track in Indiana that I know of. J-Tec in Danville, IL is just across the state line right off I-74 about 5miles before VCS. They run oval on most Saturday nights. www.jtecracing.com

Central Illinois has some really good dirt ovals that get a great field of electric and nitro sprints. Allen’s is just outside of Springfield, Big Bills is close to Lincoln, and Maryville is close to St Louis.

Cincinnati also had a carpet track and new dirt oval coming this summer at Tri-State Hobbies.

I know they were racing them at one point. If you get enough interest, they will race it.

Don, you will find good groups of Losi sprints at both North Vernon tracks. The sprint class during the winter racing was huge but usually in the summer the groups are a tad bit smaller but still usually a couple of heats.
