WOMS Adds Dirt for 2008

The Wolverine Outlaw Midget Series has announced today that they will be hosting several dirt shows in 2008. Although their primary focus will be pavement, WOMS is testing the waters regarding a possible dirt midget
division for 2009. Dan VanderMolen, owner of the Wolverine Midget Series envisions possible pavement and dirt divisions in the future under the WOMS umbrella.
"Our primary focus will continue to be on pavement which is the root of our series but there is a large void out there and a demand for dirt midget racing
in Michigan." For 2008 WOMS will be running a full pavement schedule with a couple of dirt shows added to the mix. What, if any, points will be awarded, has
not yet been determined. Depending on participation and feedback from the tracks, drivers, owners and fans a decision will be made concerning the expansion of our series into full pavement and dirt divisions at the
end of 2008.

This was a great series as WOWMS ( with wings ) and continues to be a great organization ( less wings ) as WOMS !

Our USAC Regional Series finale at Berlin Raceway and co-sanctioned with WOMS as the primary sanctioning body was without question our best and most professionally conducted event of the year , and by far the best attended ! To a driver , it is very satisfying to play to a packed house !

Our team knew , before departing Marne , Michigan , on the 29th of September , that we would certainly be participating in some WOMS events in 2008 !

I had the pleasure in meeting Dan VanderMolen that evening. I was very impressed with the appreciation that was shown to all of the competitors and the welcome we received from the WOMS staff !

Best wishes to Dan and the entire WOMS organization in 2008 !
