they did scrap the non-wing races at East Bay. I went to all of them. It was great racing, especially Roger Rager and Darren Clayton, but it seemed like I was the only guy in the stands under 70 years old and maybe 200-300 people total. It's a shame but, in this case, I don't blame them for dropping the non-wingers. It had to be a financial loser.

Every year I went to Florida it seemed like a finacial nightmare for car owners. Volousia County was a tire eaten monster every race and sand was horrible on parts... expecially birdcage bearings etc. East Bay wasn't quite as bad on tires but still had the sand. I had alot of fun though just glad I wasn't paying for it.
Never went for non wingys...... sorry Cecil.

Looks to me like its the late models that are putting the butts in the seats, twice as many nights as the Outlaws and All Stars get combined.

They had one late model race at Haubstadt last year and IT WAS A BARN BURNER!!! 3 wide and never beet or touched each other! No SUPER SLIDES either. One great race... and it packed the stands too. Modified race was great too even though I didn't like the outcome.
