Kudos to Lincoln Park this past Friday night for their WoO show. I assume this was a track rental, but all parties involved did a great job. Mother nature blessed them with a perfect day and night. I arrived at 5:30pm and was greeted by two people directing traffic and where to park. At the gate entrance multiple people were directing people where to enter based on pre-sold tickets. It was as big a crowd as I've ever seen there. The grassy hill was packed.
I was wondering how many cars might show, but a stout field of 32 checked in. Track prep was solid with plenty of water added and extra time to run it in. Plenty of passing in the feature and an awesome two-lap shootout. You could hear Johnny Gibson plenty clear over the PA system. Pat Sullivan did a nice job recognizing the bombers for their part of the show. Kudos to the WoO for bringing their portable jumbotron screen for replays and timing. Only fault of the night was the long concession and beer stand lines, to be expected with that type of crowd. When leaving, the track had police directing traffic on to Rt. 40.
As bad a spring that Lincoln Park had with rainouts, it was nice to see them rewarded with a huge crowd for their final show of the year. Great job.

That would be exciting to see the WoO rip around Angell Park. Great program with the Badger Midgets. It's too bad LaSalle got rained out. They deserved that Sat night date. Hopefully these three tracks will get these same dates next year.

Cool show (some would say "cold", but I didn't think it was too bad, but if you do not have to get there an hour before races start, and you aren't able to keep moving - I think I sat down for 10mins maybe - suppose the lower temps could get to you. I thought it was pretty nice compared to the heat and humidity offered most race nights). Basically mid-race lead change in both features. Car counts were good enough (no last chances for either, which was fine in this case). I hope the crowd was for the promoter group (gota assume the close Packer game kept a few home...it was on in the pavilion tho - I'd wonder if maybe the only change would be if the Packer's bye week could be worked around...).
As this was for the postponed June race, I think this date for APS would be tough, but you never know.
The Midget feature went green about 7:30pm and the WoO feat ended approx 8:11pm (so if you were there for hot laps, it was just over a 3hr show).

My bad, I forgot this was the makeup date from the postponed June date. Hope the crowd was decent. Love that the entire show was over at 8:11pm. Haud was really running that topside. Hope Angell, plus the other tracks, get 2026 dates again.
