Congratulations on your first USAC win! Started up front and lost the lead a couple times. No panic and got the lead back twice. 20-30 feet from taking the checkers and the red flag comes out. Just as cool as the wind over the Rockies you stayed poised, had a good restart, hit your marks and now your in the USAC winners column.

Eat dirt, be happy 🇺🇸

Chief, you’re not wrong. I didn’t have Carson on my bingo card last night but he did a really great job. Caught a break when he jumped the cushion and the yellow came out, but that’s racing.
Lots of disappointment last night, but I’m still glad I went. I know there’s people right now asking, can we get Joe back?

Absolutely, and great to see the Epperson Painting number 2 back in the winners circle as well. Takes me back to when Eric Gordon was a youngster.

I'm just curious, what was the "lots of disappointment last night", Saturday night? I see no other comments referring to this. Nor do I see any on Facebook. I was there Friday night. Feature was done just before 10pm. Multi groove track. Well run show.

What happened and who all wants Joe back?

Ok, I was there Saturday, watched from home Friday and was hoping for a duplicate. The 3 folks I was with were disappointed with the track, and the unnecessary support class. I had one friend say that the Capital of Cush had been turned into the realm of rubber. I don’t want to get into a fight about it, but if you compare the two nights, well you don’t have to be a brain surgeon to see the difference. Like I said, I’m glad I went, but when you see the program drop of that dramatically, well it’s just a disappointment. I don’t mean to hi Jack the thread either, big hat shake to Carson

As a weekly entrant at LPS I can assure you I’m not asking for Joe back. 2nd day of a 2 day show with temps in the 90s all week. Not the first or last track to take rubber. Winner was on the cushion was he not?

97, yes the winner was on top. And if a track is going to take rubber, I prefer it on the high side. You make a great point about sun and temp. They don’t have a weather app on their phone?

Hey Richie,
What % of the time does the front row win?
Thanks

Chief Wahoo, I was expecting you to comment on Carson's win, we talked about him @ Belleville when we met for the first and only time/yes Carson started in open wheel cars with Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association and all of us in Colorado are so happy for him!

I was there for both the USAC Sprints and the 305 Sprints. The 305 Sprints feature did not start until Midnight. Which a friend of mine was in.

I thought the night just dragged on slowly due to multiple reasons.
