Do they have beer? I can't watch a Sunday spectacle without imbibing in the spirits a little bit.

Of course they have beer. Heck they have a separate bar area(with its own big screen)

The room that the 500 party is in has a full stocked bar and small TV's, no big screen. The "separate bar area" that you are refering too is in the private portion of the Legion. I do not know if that sunday of the 500 if the Legion is open to the public except for the room for the Vogler party. You have to be a member to access that area.

We are bringing in a huge screen TV to watch the race on. Also we pulled the items for the auction today. As usual there is plenty of good stuff including one of Rich's uniforms and the trophy and jacket awarded to him for winning the 88 USAC midget championship.

A couple of other items added to the auction list are a Ryan Newman uniform, a set of 3 wheels used by Buddy Rice and Danica Patrick mounted with Firestones ready made for a piece of glass to make a table.

If there isn't, you can borrow mine.....long as you don't break out the crayons and color in the pictures.

About 8 years ago it was that D. Earnhardt was killed in this race. It was the same day a friendship was born. Yep, I met old Santa himself, Mr. M. :respect:
