Don't know how bad but he got burns last night at LPS when he had a cockpit fire. Wishing him a complete recovery.

From Stevie’s wife.

Stevie Sussex is alert and talking just on a lot of pain meds. He was admitted to the burning unit and seeing specialist in the morning to see if surgery is needed. I appreciate Elizabeth Sturgeon Rj Johnson and Tyler Sturgeon for helping me with our boys making sure they got home safe for me to be with Stevie. Especially the strangers holding my boys as they were in panic thinking the worst had happen to Stevie.
Stevie won his heat, he was flying in the main event was up to 5th place when all this took place.
We will keep everyone posted as he recovers.

Anyone know how often Inferno Armor needs to be applied to drivers suit, gloves, etc.? I’ve checked their website and didn’t see any info or FAQ.

I heard the FLO announcers mention how Suffix will have medical bills to pay as he recovers, and a donation bucket was at the USAC merchandise trailer. Surely USAC has medical insurance. As a former promotor, we had a great policy with K&K Insurance that covered injured drivers at a high level. Medical bills, travel, monetary income until recovered, etc. I sure hope Suffex doesn’t have to rely on donations, or GoFund Me.

From my conversation with KTJ, after a suit has been washed and completely dry you can reapply. Son does it the night before the race typically but there’s no time limit.

Lot of fans are always looking for ways to support their favorite driver. Maybe an idea would be to buy one and give it to a driver you support. Lotta local small budget teams I’m sure would appreciate it, or for that matter any driver. Plus you’d be supporting the driver that promotes it and listed as President on the web site
