3-STRAIGHT FOR ROA! BRODY WINS AGAIN WITH USAC CRA AT PERRIS

Perris, California (July 15, 2023)………Brody Roa picked off his third consecutive AMSOIL USAC CRA Sprint Car victory, and his eighth overall of the season, on Saturday night at California’s Perris Auto Speedway.

Starting fifth, Roa (Garden Grove, Calif.) raced to the lead on the 17th lap following stints up front by Cody Williams from laps 1-3 and by Tommy Malcolm from laps 4-16.

From that point forward, Roa led the remaining 14 circuits to capture the victory in his Tom & Christy Dunkel/BR Performance No. 17R.

Roa’s 21st career USAC CRA victory moved him ahead of 2007 series champion Tony Jones for sole possession of fourth on the all-time series win list.* Cory Kruseman is the next closest with 35 triumphs, while Mike Spencer has 38 and Damion Gardner possesses an all-time record of 95.

Additionally, Roa pushed his point lead to 151 over Malcolm in the quest for a series championship.

A.J. Bender (San Diego, Calif.) earned his best career USAC CRA result with a runner-up finish behind Roa.* Cody Williams (Corona, Calif.) scored a third while Ricky Lewis (Camarillo, Calif.) took fourth and Logan Williams (Yorba Linda, Calif.) rounded out the top-five, earning In Memory of Jim & Chet Gardner Hard Charger honors after starting 18th.

But who saw it because Perris ousted Flo. Bet there weren't more than 1500 in the stands either. I love the facility and the track but $10 to park (yes I know it's the fair), can't exit and re-enter more than once, $10 beers, and ridiculous food prices. Plus the price of gas keep me from going anymore. Sad state of affairs here on the left coast.

Our racing family made a racing trip and we went to Arizona and drove over to Perris for the championship to knock out a bucket list of racing tracks. Glad that we did it then. 🙌. Great track and facility. Probably not looking good that racing events. Hopefully things will work out for them. Thanks 🇺🇸 😊
