At tri-state tonight for the outlaws i was expecting to see a couple non wing guys pop a wing on a track theyre familiar with and on their home turf. But aside from Brady Bacon no one else puts a wing on. why is that. But these same people do weekly shows that pay $1,500 - $2,000. Do they feel that they dont have a chance or what is it? Just making the feature pays what 3rd or 4th place would pay at a weekly show.

not worth their time for $1500 or $2000. every week theres a winged race that pays At least $6000. (All Stars, PA or Woo)

One big area we don't think about. It is called engine expense. Running a wing takes a very strong engine. And longevity of wing engine life is shortened. I have seen wing racers with many engines in the trailers. Ran my son doing both for 4 years. A half mile with a wing, engine life is expensive.

Much more complicated and expensive than just mounting a wing. For example Bacon has a completely separate car for wing racing.
