The Midwest Mini Sprint Association (MMSA) is pleased to announce that Bloomington Speedway promoter, Mike Miles has awarded the MMSA the single support class for his two most important events of the 2009 season, both are USAC sprint races, the first on fri. May 8th and again on fri. July 17th (Indiana sprint week).
This will be the first opportunity for the MMSA "Winged Warrior Tour" to perform on the famous "RED CLAY" 1/4 mile track and is viewed as a HUGE step for upright mini sprints in the region. These two events will Hi-Lite the MMSA 2009 schedule
paying $1,000 to win each, plus other $$ bonuses, Additional information will be announced in the near future,ie; a sat. race after each at another immediate area track.
The entire MMSA schedule will be posted as soon as exact dates are confirmed, currently, we have 21 races at six different tracks, I expect to add 2-3 more at 2-3 additional tracks when completed.
Plans are being formulated and subsequent dates established to perform the
1,000cc motor inspection and sealing at two locations, one being at the "Extreme Racing" shop in Bainbridge, Ohio and the other at "Kinser's Racing Shop" in Bloomington, IN, Kerry Kinser will join a host of Bloomington area racers competing with the MMSA at Bloomington and throughout the 2009 season.
The MMSA ia a STOCK 1,000cc,upright,winged touring class with provision for 600 cars to participate with performance bonuses and are encouraged to do so.

Mini sprints put on a great show at Bloomington.AMSA ran there at least 3 years with great success,we just couldn't pay our own purse since Mike only wanted to pay $1500.We always had 30 cars at least. It's a beautiful track, clean ,good food and bathrooms in the pits.

Your right about that, its probably the best prepared track in the state, it will be a huge honor to race there in front of the home crowd... I want to thank Mike and all the MMSA sponsors for making it possible!!!!

Sprintcar & Midget magazine has a nice feature article on mini sprint driver, Nathan Mensendiek in the Jan. issue, Nathan will be competing with several other area MMSA members at Bloomington and at other MMSA events throughout the season, check out the magazine article and then come to Bloomington and watch him race.

The MMSA will be at Twin Cities on sat.May 9th and sat. July 19th,(now confirmed) both dates are the day after friday nites at Bloomington, I hope this info. will help those racers making extended travel plans for the weekend and it means an additional $100 to the high point car for the weekend. Additional Twin Cities dates will be on the schedule.
