must be cuz he got it for less than 2m? I'm surprised that he had enough of a connection to the place to jump into this purchase, unless Sargent talked him into it...but really, if it ran against Macon, they are kinda competition for eachother...I'm still surprised, but good if he did...how many tracks can he "save" tho???...(maybe open wheel/dirt people can quit hating nascar, when they realize how much of that $ has flowed down...lol)

Guess will all wait and see if this is really the case or someone blowing smoke. Not trying to discredit you. I'll wait for some sort of press release from Smokes camp. If this is really the case then cool. Guessing you must know someone connected to him.
Having lived in IL for most of my life and in Decatur, I really doubt Macon is competing against Ls Salle. Macon is about 2 hours, or 125 miles from LaSalle. The Saturday night classes and racers at Macon are not coming from that far away. They are all Central IL guys. Touring series maybe, but not regular Sat night guys. Fairbury, Sycamore and Peoria Speedway's are far more closer to La Salle. As Racefan 20 says, let's wait for an official announcement.

If u live half-way in-between, its only an hour...lol. There are only so many racers/fans in a 90mile radius...Tony or Sargent do not own or promote Fairbury, Sycamore and Peoria, idt
