Well another wonderful day of suspense. The doctors were suppose to do a procedure to enter Andrew's right lung and get a specimen for a biopsy. However, the doctor performing the procedure didn't feel comfortable using the existing MRI as it didn't give him enough information on an exact location. So, with that being said, they decided to do another CT scan of his lungs to get a clearer view of an exact location. Well guess what? The CT didn't show anything other than the streaking that has been common in all of the CT scans of his lungs.

Instead of starting with the procedure at 8:00 AM as scheduled, they ended up doing the CT scan around 1:30 PM. To say the least, Andrew wasn't in the best of moods with having to wait. My daughter-in-law said that her well behaved, overly compliant little boy did everyone proud yesterday. She said that he fussed, cried, screamed and had a temper tantrum for most of the day at the hospital. This is certainly not his normal mood even when he has been feeling poorly. Apparently he was just wanting to go home and play, because when they got home he was fine. Go figure, a two year old not wanting to spend another day in the hospital.:O:

So, long story short, Andrew at this point has some lung damage from the chronic aspriations, but we aren't sure if this is worsening or if it has an impact on his clinical functioning. We hope to get a further report back early next week when they meet with the pulmonolgist. So is this good news? We have absolutely no idea and the suspense continues.

Thanks for checking in to see some results. I apologize for not being able to give you much info but at this point that is all we know. We appreciate your continued interest in Andrew's journey and we appreciate your continued thoughts, prayers and encouragement.

What a way to start the weekend, Mike! Thanks for keeping us updated. As long as the Feds don't bust up the Biro-McIntosh pizza smuggling ring this weekend, all will be well in IOW land.

This fits a few "adults" you might encounter at sporting events around the world.
I think Andrew's behavior is quite understandable -- there is only so much that a guy can take before he has to vent. :wink
We continue to follow your updates, Mike. And the prayers of the Turners continue for little Andrew.

Mike, Andrew has every right to be a little out of sorts from time to time, look at the journey your beautiful little grandson has been on for the last year. I hope and will continue to pray for positive results for Andrew.

God Bless,

Patti

Mike,
A lot of adults threw tantrums after Tuesday's ******** so Andrew is certainly entitled to one after all he has been through. Chin up, Andrew! Keeping you in my prayers, buddy.
