Local rumor mill is that Tony Stewart was seen in the Court House because he may have purchased the Winchester Speedway! Any truth to this? I guess Kenny Shrader was there also?
Nothing to do with this story, but my favorite article about Winchester years ago had to do with the old covered grandstand. The author said if you were in the top row, you didn't stand up unless you wanted an unsolicited brain operation.
Winchester can use a ton of improvements. Let's hope this rumor really is true.

Guess he has run Eldora into the ground. Right. Here, refresh your memory on some recent Eldora attendance records. Seems odd he's run it into the ground and the fans are staying away.

On Saturday night, the crowd was estimated at 25,000. That’s the largest single-day attendance in the long history of Eldora Speedway.

More than 20,000 spectators packed Eldora to witness the Kings Royal. Attendance numbers are not released, but it was announced as the largest in event history. One of those spectators took home an equally impressive $32,380 for their share of the 50/50 pot.
I never attended a race at the Big E while it was Earl's; but looking at videos, not only is the facility vastly improved but so is the racing surface.
Racing at Eldora last year was incredible for basically every event/race I attended; which was 14.
