Long Time NHRA Top Fuel Driver, Champion, and Crew Chief, Dick Lahaie died at 76 years old, a couple of weeks back. Very sad! Great guy, racer, and Champion with many National Event Wins and named one of the Top 50 Greatest Drag Racers of All-Time. Prayers to his daughter Kim, that used to be his Crew Chief, and the entire Lahaie family!
76 years old..... I'm sorry, but still too young to pass. I remember Kim used to always pat him atop his helmet right before the crew would exit the track prior to the launch.
I'm not a straight line guy by any means, but R.I.P. A racer is a racer.
