It was made when they rebuilt the track a few years back. It gives you something to hide behind when darting between cars coming down the push off chute, when going from the pit stands to the concession stand and back.
So clever. Another reason why it makes Kokomo one of the best dirt tracks in the USA. The O'Conner family have put so much into this city and track. Thanks for the air photo. It let's us see all the special thoughts, dedication, hard work and caring. Again we are blessed to have this in Indiana. Sometimes we don't know how lucky we are till it is gone.

Going too be a walk over in the pits to keep people out of the push off lane from what I understand.
I know I have seen several close calls of guys almost hitting it while being pushed off. Even seen one guy have to dodge it by going to the left of it.

Well if they almost hit this big thing they might want to reconsider driving a Sprint car.
