BOSS Double - Limaland / Montpelier

The Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series returns to action this weekend with a pair of events on two very historic dirt ovals. Friday night, the Limaland Motorsports Park will play host to the traveling wingless sprint car stars. A night later, the tour moves on, crossing the border, to invade the Montpelier Motor Speedway in Indiana.

Veteran sprint car driver, Bill Rose from Plainfield, Indiana, now holds a slim points lead over two-time and defending champion Dustin Smith from Russiaville, Indiana. Minster, Ohio driver, Paul Dues, scored his first ever BOSS win on May 26th at Richmond Raceway in Kentucky and he now sits 3rd in the series standings. Joe Liguori and Matt Cooley round out the early top 5.

The 2014 tour champ, Mike Miller, holds down the number 6 spot. Veteran racer, Ted Hines, is in the 7th slot with Cody Gardner, Chad Wilson and Steve Little completing the top 10.

Friday's event at Limaland will see pit gates opening at 4:30 with general admission gates opening at 5:00. Hot laps will be at 6:30 with racing at 7:30. Adult general admission is just $12 with ages 11-15 just $6 and kids 10 and under are free. Pit passes will be $25 for all ages. There will be a $10 transponder rental fee. NO mufflers are required for this event.

On Saturday at Montpelier, gates will open at 3 pm with hot laps at 5 and racing at 6:30. Adult general admission is $20 with 12 and under free. All Pit passes are $30 but transponder rental is included with a pit pass. NO mufflers are required at Montpelier.

As always, there are NO fees with BOSS. The series runs under and open tire rule and there is no weight rule. The standard BOSS purse of $1,500 to win and $250 to start will be paid both nights with full heat race and bonus awards listed below.

If you are unable to make it out to the track, don't forget, the ISC Sports Network will carry both events on a live pay-per-view broadcast for $19.95 each night. You can catch all the racing action from all the classes each night!

1st time I went to Montpelier the Gloss series was running & I ask the fella who was running that night & he said the big guns.

I'll pay the 20 bucks to watch Aaron Fry's series. See ya Friday & Saturday.

Don't let Chuck fool ya all. He stopped & watched the Late Models finish up. LOL.
