Planning on being there Dave and for the MSCS. Stillc an't believe you don't race the 27th. Thats a prime date for sprint car racing.

Hoping we have a good turn out. Unless your good at Eldora or in the points. The Burg will be the place to be (Not knocking USAC guys) Just saying Last tune up for MSCS 10.000

It is on the Twin Cities website that they are racing sprints. This is not a points race for Lawrenceburg, But i am sure there will be good racing there also.

Have you ever been to the Greensburg track? That's where I ran my one, and only, TQ race. I also promoted a TQ race there back in '92 when I worked for the Daily News. Best thing was I had barrels full of free ink for advertising. My one and only attempt at that.
If you get there early, stop at Storie's restaurant on the south side of the courthouse square. They have some of the best hand breaded tenderloins in the state. They also have great plate lunches, and a good view of the tree in the courthouse from the big table in the window.

Yes i have been there once, about 3 weeks ago me and fishnman stopped by to check it out before we help promote a race there. The track is pretty flat from what i am use to.
But its a pretty nice place, its got that fairground feel to it. I think its a great tq track or any small cars. I heard they ran Modifieds and Crate Lates there this year. I can't believe they raced those big cars there, its kinda too narrow for big cars in my opinion. I am excited to see the tq's there.

Turns one and two are shaded and have a normally banking. Three and four used to be a backwards banking. It was like racing on the back side of a hill. Don't know if that's ever really been fixed.

When I first went there, the cars pitted in the horse arena in the infield. Tony Stewart has about four or five wins on the track -- including two in one day back in 1990. He won one in about 1992 in which he missed practice, qualifying and his heat, transferred through the feature and started at the tail and drove to the front. It is the most amazing drive I have ever seen Stewart make.

I've always liked the seating on side of the hill. I've also thought that if someone spent a little money they could turn it into a great track for TQs and mini sprints. Who knows, with the TQs still running Honda motorcycle engines and a new Honda plant being built there something could actually happen.

This weekend we are also having lots of giveaways for the teens, Including, Gas Cards, MP3 players, Tickets to the Greendale Cinema, Tickets to Perfect North Slopes and much more. All teens who come to the races will get a ticket for the prizes. Load up the car with the teenagers and they may just win some great prizes, oh yeah, teens are free this weekend also.
