Hi All,
I'll be coming out for the Indy 500 this year(May24-30) and am looking for local races to attend. I know that Terre Haute is hosting the USAC Sprints on May 25 but was wondering what other races around the area are going on? Also would be interested in memorabilia shows/auctions. Can anyone help? |

Be sure to put the Indy 500 museum on your tour. It is very neat. Not sure what is available during the race weekend, but if they are offering tours you should also do that. I went during a non-race weekend and did the all access tour. I went into the press box, victory lane and kissed the bricks. Definitely pretty cool stuff. Even without the tour, the museum is worth going to.

Looks like they have you covered.
I would recommend (as this is what I did last year and plan on doing again with the addition of Indy) Thurs. Hoosier 100 Fri. Josh Burton Mem. Bloomingtom Sat.day Day Before the 500 (Silver Crown, USF200, Pro Mazda.) I don't know if they will be starting as early this year, but from what I've seen you should able to catch the Crown feature before Sat.night Little 500 There's no wrong choice for Sunday night, but I'll probably be the lame guy that drives back to watch the Coke 600 (most on board will say there's your wrong choice). Mon. Lawrenceburg WoO Sprints. |

The HOOSIER 100 is a must! The USAC Silver Crown cars rumble the seats in the grandstands. & the memorabilia show NOT TO MISS is at the Pagoda Plaza at IMS the Saturday morning before Sundays race, you'll usually even see some drivers shopping.

Generally Wednesday is community day at the speedway & you can hang a lap on the track in your passenger car. Pretty cool. They also offer 2 seater rides & a driving experience a few of those dates through Indy race experience.

Anderson Little 500 on Saturday night I consider a must! Especially if you've never seen it!
