Whew! Now I've got a craving for a tenderloin and a rootbeer (in a yellow to go cup of course).

Always a required stop for lunch and a couple of take home Growlers of RB when in Indy. Nothing here in Minnesota compares.

Got to be the best food in town>>> It takes a Special Person to be an inspector. Thank goodness they don't walk into peoples houses and inspect>>we would all be without food. I have a friend with about 40 properties he rents. I asked him one time how to pick good tenants. He said visit them at their old house if you can and ask your self "If they offered me a Peanut Butter Sandwich would I eat it. These inspector guys tend to get a little "anal" and a little "authoritarian" with their sense and use of power. Just sayin ![]() Honest Dad himself ![]() ![]()

Hate to see people make group judgements about other people but I understand it is going to happen. As an inspector (fire not food) I would agree I am "anal" when it comes to people's safety. Even though I am granted authority, like most inspectors I know, I do not abuse my authority. I have found that most businesses want to meet code and provide a safe environment for their patrons and employees. So typically 95% of what an inspector does is education. We have to document everything which is why we sometimes have long inspection reports. However, we spend most of our time teaching businesses the code and showing them how to correct the issues so they can be safe.
