More... ![]() * STEVE CANNON, 74 Steve Cannon, one of the most proficient short-track Midget drivers in USAC history, passed away in Danville, Ind. September 18 after a long illness. Four times a "top-10" points driver, including 5th in the 1974 standings, he posted 21 feature victories between 1971 and 1981 for car owners Let Tetrault, Math Schneider, Roy Koehler and Dick Heerboth and earned the respect of everyone with his short-track prowess. A memorial service will be held at the Sunset Funeral Home in Danville, at 3940 N. Vermillion St. at 5 pm Sunday following visitation from 2-5 pm. * |

Great man he is from my hometown of Danville Illinois and was my barber for years. This should read Danville Illinois instead of Indiana.
