“DOUBLE POINTS” FOR PENULTIMATE DMA MIDGET RACE SATURDAY

Adam Pierson has a commanding point lead over Josh Sunn in the latest USAC DMA Midget standings and this Saturday’s “double points” penultimate series race at Bear Ridge Speedway gives him a chance to lock up his second consecutive series title.

Pierson’s lead over Sunn is 98 points and 136 points are available Saturday. The series concludes September 26 at the Bradford, Vt. oval.

Pierson recorded seven victories this year, which included a streak of five in a row, while Sunn the series opener and an August race. He also posted a trio of runner-up finishes. Pierson has won the last two series races.
