Ran the Zonker with the MMSA at LPS last night and I thought I was getting into the rev limiter in the heat; I started experiencing the same thing in the Main but about 5 laps in it became progressively worse until I finally had to shut it down on the backstretch. This morning it turns over with no ominous noises, and started & ran briefly then stopped; now, turning it over just produces an occasional backfire. Yes, there's fuel. Yes, it was turned on.
Thoughts? Hilborn injection on methanol, MSD MC-3 ingnition, Dyna Coils.
Thanks.

Thanks Scott, I'll start there. FYI, battery is an Odyssey new late last year;I keep it on a float charger all the time but I don't have the means to hook up a charger at the track, but I haven't had an issue with battery life over the course of an evening up to this point (that I know of).

Jim, hook up a timing light while cranking, the dyna coils and the MSD may not be happy together anymore, just an easy ck. Bob

Jim, it could be the alky has gone bad, especially in the BV, and in the filters, if your's is like mine, it has been a while since it's had any sort of activity, and those spots seem to get bad first, and of course, the injectors, even tho I do fire mine at least once a week, it still happens, I just unhook the fuel inlet at the BV, and pour it full of PB Blaster, and let it soak, then blo it out, then repeat, same with nozzles. Gummed up fuel is a possibility too Bob, although I use Klotz Uplon religiously and that seems to help a great deal. I plan on pulling the nozzles, blowing out the barrel and checking the filter this week...
