Man, we hate to lose another Midget show! We will start to look at some dates for make up in the future. I believed I had 23 Midgets confirmed for tonight's race before the showers started to come through, and I'm sure we would of had some surprise drop-ins. We've had rounds of dry followed thunderstorms all evening. We appreciate everyone who traveled to race with us. We were hoping we could get one over on mother nature and get another Midget race in.
Our next Midget race will be Saturday, May 23rd.

We were on the way when we got the call. Thanks for considering makeup dates, that ten race season goes by quick when you lose a few to rain.

Montpelier is the best thing to happen to midget racing in a long long time, folks. The promoter was willing to stick his neck out and run midgets when there wasn't another promoter anywhere in the Midwest willing to do so. He stuck with it through thick and thin and now there are usually over 20 Montpelier dedicated midgets that have allegence to his promotion. Hip hip hurray for his willingness to see this through!!!!! Instead of scheduling Montpelier midget dates around the big box races, the big box guys should be scheduling around Montpelier dates. The racers that show up there for the most part are not going to show up for the big box events and compete against the factory backed big box motors. Total waste of time and money and you're forced to buy the purple tires while Montpelier has an open tire rule and, folks, we the participants can run tires a lot cheaper with tires that last a lot longer and furthermore Montpelier has the least expensive pit pass fee around. And it's a very friendly atmosphere.. quite a bit different than many midget events with a corporate gimmie everytime you turn around.
