In last months Sprint Car & Midget Magazine there was picture of Dick Gaines sitting in the race car,my question is WHO IS THE MAN STANDING WITH HIS HANDS IN HIS BACK POCKETS? There are a few of us old fans and racers who are losing our minds trying to remember.Thank you

My dad is pretty sure that it's Rex Mitchell's brother. He can't think of his first name, but knows he built the Mitchell cars that Dick drove.

The guezzers here think it's a Nance car and that isn't Denny Mitchell.Thanks anyway

This is a complete guess but what about Ed Angle. I was very young back then but to me that name comes to mind with that face. Like I said I may be way off.

My dad said it was diz wilson he also built motors in mitchel In. Dad had him build a motor for one of his street cars back in the day. I think dick drove for diz for quite a while to. My dad never reads sprint week mag but he seen the picture and brought back some old times so he read it.

Kevin Briscoe spent many an hour at Dizz Wilsons shop he would know what he looked like. He said it was not him not trying to start a fight just stating the facts is all.

Don't believe it's Dizz.Have been involved in racing since the late 60's and never seen Dizz in anything but coveralls.Keep them answers comming.

I never seen the picture, so can anyone describe the car and number or post the picture?. Also does picture show what year it was?.
