April 29, 2015 Pittsburgh, PA: August Linder died today at age 86. Gus starred in super modified cars, removed roll cages, removed wings, and went right on winning around 250 times. Together with Western PA stars Bobbie Adamson and Lou Blaney, Linder helped drag Central PA into winged sprint car era and dabbled in USAC, IMCA and URC.
